Idk 😐 The only way I can think to combine these - psychopathic and suicidal - is by saying Grelle might have done it (and in dramatic fashion, like jumping into the sea, with witnesses) as an “I’ll show them” sort of thing. The only weird thing about that is… psychopaths don’t typically commit suicide…. I think Grelle is a psychopath and probably was before death, too. I doubt it was by suicide, but who knows? Grelle only gave up on one thing in life: life itself. I assume Grelle’s parents are loooong gone, but I have no idea how they died. And creating a huge scene when you don’t get it. It’s all about getting what you want and creating the appearance you want. Overly dramatic and attracted to romantic ideals, even if neither of them can understand genuine feelings of love.

The father was a spineless man who just let his wife do as she pleased he’d just say “Yes dear” to her demands. Grelle’s mother wanted to marry her children into “better” families, but Grelle didn’t fit in with her plans. I think I said something like: Grelle was from a middle to upper-middle class family (but possibly not in the peerage). I answered somewhat about that in an older post.
